NDIS Management Options

One of the key questions you’ll be asked by the NDIA is "how would you like your plan funding to be managed?" If you’re new to the NDIS, understanding your options is an important first step so you can decide which option is best for you.

  • A registered plan manager (like us!) will manage the financial and administrative aspects of an NDIS plan. Participants have access to registered and non-registered service providers providing more choice and control over supports.

  • Much like being plan managed, participants will have access to registered and non-registered providers. However, all the financial and administrative tasks, including record keeping will be up to the participant.

  • The NDIA will manage funding on behalf of the participant. This means that a participant who is Agency Managed will only have access to providers who have gone through the NDIS registration process.

Switch to Plan Management

Whether you’re a new participant, have been a participant for a while or are simply wanting to change plan managers, plan management is a great option for if you’re wanting more choice and control over your plan.

  • If you're new to the NDIS or you have a plan reassessment meeting coming up and don’t already have plan management as part of your NDIS plan, you can request plan management be included in your next plan.

  • If you have an NDIS plan with no plan reassessment coming up, but you would like to switch to plan management then you can request a plan variation. The NDIA will review your request and can easily include plan management in your current plan.

  • If you’re with another plan manager and would like to switch to In Choice Plan Management, notify you current plan manager. The process to terminate or cancel services should be in the service agreement you have with them.

If you need assistance with this process you can speak with a member of our support team by contacting us at 1300 890 457 or support@inchoice.com.au.
